Zhou Qunfei born in 1970 in Hunan province, China, is the youngest of three siblings. Qunfei’s family was poor and moved to Guangdong Province during the 1980s to work in a glass factory for watches. This initial experience in business helped her start her own small glass manufacturing business during the 1990s.
Sensing the prevalence of cell phones and other electronic devices, Qunfei founded Lens Technology in 2003. Lens Technology became a major touchscreen manufacturer globally primarily supplying touchscreens to leading electronics makers including Apple, Samsung, and Huawei.
In March 2015, after the public listing on the Shenzhen ChiNext market, Qunfei’s net worth reached $10 billion – making her the richest woman in China. In 2018, she was named the world’s richest self-made woman, with a net worth of $9.8 billion, and is one of the richest women in the technology sector.

It is also actively exploring the application of smart management and intelligent robotics in its factories to further improve the overall efficiency of its production lines.
